Job Description:

We are currently seeking an Electric Utility Engineer who will work with an investor-owned utility and/or utility consulting company performing design engineering. The candidate must an interest or background in either utility distribution design work or a background or interest in utility design work for high voltage transmission line projects. ? The distribution design work will include overhead, URD, and underground cable/conduit design work packages. This design work will include complex overhead and underground distribution projects in urban and rural environments in compliance with client's engineering and construction specifications, field engineering of project requirements, identification of conflicting utilities, engineering and design calculations, and work permit development.

Successful candidates must comply with quality control and safe work practices and maintain compliance with project scope, schedule and budget. This position will be a member of a design team comprised of engineers, designers, and CAD technicians and will work with client standards to implement design Qualifications:

This is an entry level engineering position. Experience with electric utility distribution design and/or construction projects ?which can be obtained through either, or internships or cooperatives while attending university--is preferred

A Bachelor?s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or an Associate?s degree in Engineering Technology with additional work experience ? Ability to walk one mile ? Ability to swing a 3 lb. hammer ? Ability to stake poles

Open to overnight travel / travel in general.
